Mailing List Members
What's a mailing list member? How could you turn into one yourself?
Mailing list members are persons that have joined a specific list to get periodic email messages, including weekly newsletters. If the mailing list client application that is used to manage the list permits it, you can also add members manually, but in this case such email messages may be considered unsolicited and reported as spam by the recipients. Generally, these members can unsubscribe from a list by clicking on a hyperlink in the emails they get, or you, being the mailing list administrator, can manually remove them in case they request this or in case you reach the decision that some of the members should not belong to the mailing list any longer. Each member will be able to view only their address in the "To" section of the email messages they receive, but not the email addresses of the rest of the members of the mailing list.
Mailing List Members in Cloud Hosting
Managing the subscribers for any Internet mailing list set up in a cloud hosting account with us is pretty easy. We rely on a fully featured piece of software called Majordomo – one of the most popular programs for setting up and managing mailing lists out there. It will permit you to import, to remove or to view all the mailing list members by simply sending an email message to majordomo@your-domain.com. Freshly added members will have to verify their membership, so you can’t just add a mailbox and begin sending periodic emails to it using a mailing list without the recipient’s permission. Should you experience any problems, we have an elaborate educational article in the Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every shared hosting account, as well as a 24-7-365 support team, which will help you with any questions about the mailing list features.
